Baking Monkeys is a Skirret initiative focused on bringing volunteers together to prepare food for community organizations and institutions that can put it to good use.
Baking Monkeys turns volunteer time, ingredients, and community support into prepared food. Our goal is to organize cooking and baking efforts and work with organizations such as churches, food programs, and other community partners that are able to receive and distribute prepared food.
Volunteers work together to prepare food using available ingredients and resources.
We coordinate with participating organizations before preparing food to understand what they can accept and what is needed.
Prepared food is brought to participating community organizations for distribution or use according to their requirements.
We hope to work with churches, food assistance programs, community organizations, and other eligible partners to make sure prepared food reaches places that can safely receive and use it.
